The side dump is designed to haul its payload over very long distances at high speeds without overheating the tires. The side dump dumping method offers a quick cycle time and the ability to dump both boxes without splitting the trailers. The relatively narrow equipment allows for a much narrower road than conventional hauling methods. This decreases the capital and operating cost of the infrastructure.
Additional trailers can be added to the train to increase the payload capacity. The road train's capacity is usually limited by the terrain and truck's GVW Rules limit. Each mine's hauling road and conditions are analyzed to determine the most cost-effective solution.
Self-Dump tipping semi trailer, 2-3 axles, is specially designed for heavy good transportation, like stone and mining materials. It is strong enough to carry up 80T in long distance delivery, rough road situation.
